Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in managing key financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: - Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collections. - Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. - Oversee billing functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. - Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes. - Prepare financial reports and summaries to support decision-making. - Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities as needed. - Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions and documentation. - Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations in all processes. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting roles, particularly in accounts payable and receivable. - Strong understanding of billing processes and account reconciliation. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders. - Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies. - Familiarity with accounting standards and compliance requirements.
