Job Description

A banquet server's primary role is to provide food and beverage service at catered events like weddings, parties, and conferences. They are responsible for setting up the event space, serving guests, and ensuring a positive dining experience. This includes setting tables, taking orders, delivering food and drinks, clearing tables, and assisting with event breakdown.

• Serve all food and beverages to banquet guests.
• Preparing and servicing beverages for banquet events.
• Assist in setting up the banquet table.
• Follow direction from banquet management.
• Provide assistance to banquet managers in the serving of guests during banquet functions to ensure positive guest experience.
• Provide prompt and courteous food and beverage service to guests during banquet/catering functions.
• Setting up, maintaining and breaking down banquet rooms.
• Clean commissary area and banquet areas.
• Assist bar station in setting up, serving and cleaning up after banquet functions.
• Assisting in serving, setting-up, and clean-up of all banquet functions.
• Serving at a large banquet.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service standards.
• Apply high guest service standards.
• Serve food and beverages to banquet guests.
• Set up/tear down of banquet, tables, chairs and place settings.
• Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements.
• Ensure proper tabulation of banquet checks and that checks are reviewed with guests.
• Coordinate the delivery of all food and beverage for the guest during visit to the banquet room.
• Assist Banquet Manager in the serving of guests during banquet functions to ensure positive guest experience.
• Serving food, and beverages, cleaning tables and set-up.
