GradientLab (by PPDS)

Remote | Contract / Part-time (with potential to grow)

GradientLab is a browser-based tool for creating dimensional, animated gradients — the kind you see in Pentagram case studies and Apple marketing, but without needing Illustrator mesh skills or After Effects.

We're building a new category: more depth than gradient pickers, less friction than pro tools. Warp effects, animation systems, materials, video export — all in the browser.

The product is live. Now we need to show people what it can do.

We're looking for a content partner to own video content and social presence for GradientLab. This is a hands-on role — you'll be creating videos, posting content, and building an audience, not managing a team.

What you'll do:

• Create short-form video content (TikTok, Instagram Reels) showcasing GradientLab's capabilities
• Be on camera — we want a face and voice for the brand
• Manage posting cadence across TikTok and Instagram
• Turn feature demos into compelling "I need to try this" moments
• Help shape the content strategy as we learn what resonates

• Comfortable on camera and excited to be there
• Strong visual taste — you know what good looks like
• Experience creating content for TikTok or Instagram (show us your work)
• Self-directed — you don't need to be told what to post every day
• Genuine enthusiasm for design tools and creative software

Nice to have:

• Design background or familiarity with tools like Figma, Framer, Canva
• Experience with screen recording / video editing
• Understanding of what performs on design-focused social media

• You've made content about creative tools before and enjoyed it
• You scroll design TikTok and think "I could do this better"
• You get excited about showing people something cool you found
• You want to build something from the ground up, not inherit a playbook

Contract-based, competitive for the scope. Happy to discuss structure based on hours and deliverables.
