**How will you make an impact in this role?**
AMEX Assurance Co. (AAC) provides insurance protection for American Express Card Members through implicit card benefits, and fee/add-on insurance products to both Card Members and non-Card Members. This exciting opportunity will reside in the Claim and Servicing Operations department of AAC, and primary responsibilities will include Claims special servicing responsibilities such as OFAC review, billing reconciliation, claims operational support reporting oversight, claims audit reviews for retail and specialty lines products. This role provides an exciting opportunity to also handle claims for the Retail and specialty lines products in the AMEX Assurance Co. Insurance portfolio on an as needed basis.
**Your duties may include but are not limited to:**
+ Investigation of policy and product information by using tools available.
+ Maintaining state compliance for reporting, Medicare, insurance claims and audit functions relative to the AAC claims team.
+ Decision making of claims for these products, as well as direct phone interaction with the customer to ensure timely decisions
+ Researching claims operational report data for compliance and regulatory adherence.
+ Compliance process mapping, testing and reporting
+ This position requires previous insurance experience.
+ This is currently a hybrid position. This position is currently based in Phoenix, AZ and the ideal candidate will work at least 3 days onsite / 2 days remotely. The hours of operation are: Monday - Friday - 6:00am - 5:00pm, with rotational weekends.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Customer First Principles demonstrated through excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
+ Passion for exceptional service
+ Strong phone skills
+ Ability to adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid changes in workflow
+ Ability to demonstrate initiative with minimal supervision to drive results
+ Strong problem-solving skills, time management and organizational skills
+ Superior level of accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Strong proficiency in PC skills, including MS Word and Excel
+ 1 year of Insurance or Customer Service industry
+ A current Claims Adjuster License is a plus
+ If a license is not currently held, the applicant must be able to obtain the necessary license during the time frame allowed prior to training. **Upon hiring, candidate will have 2 attempts to pass the Arizona Licensing exam. If the exam to obtain your license cannot be passed, within 2 attempts, employment will be terminated.**
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $26.20 to $43.87 hourly bonus benefits
