Job Description Summary

Seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud & Backend Engineer with a strong background in cloud-native development , medical imaging standards (DICOM/DICOMWeb) , and device-to-cloud integration . Candidate will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and compliant systems that connect medical devices to the cloud, enabling real-time imaging workflows and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based pipelines for ingesting, storing, and processing DICOM imaging data from edge devices.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using modern frameworks (e.g., Python, Java).
• Integrate with DICOMWeb services , including STOW-RS , WADO-RS , and QIDO-RS , for image upload, retrieval, and query.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform).
• Ensure secure data transmission using TLS , IAM , and OAuth2 , with full audit logging and compliance with HIPAA and FDA 21 CFR .
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 5 6 years of experience in cloud computing (preferably AWS).
• Strong backend development skills in Python and Java .
• Hands-on experience with DICOM and DICOMweb , especially STOW-RS for image ingestion.
• Experience integrating medical devices or edge systems with cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with PACS , or similar imaging systems.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA , data privacy , and security best practices .

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in medical device software and clinical workflows .
