A Brief Overview

This position will be located at the ASICS America corporate office in Boston, MA. Working directly within the DTC Buying Department, the Retail Assistant Buyer Intern will support the Buyer and Associate Buyer in the day to day of assortment planning and forecasting for full price and outlet stores. Attend cross functional meetings with planning, allocation, visual merchandising, and ecommerce buying teams. Learn about monthly assortment communications, competitive shopping, profitability, and pricing and data analysis, and how to manage to sales and inventory plans via an open to buy.

About Our Internship Program

During this internship, our interns will discover their strengths, develop their technical skills, and learn more about the environment of their future career path. ASICS interns are vital contributors to the company's vision of creating a quality lifestyle through intelligent sport technology. We are currently seeking interns to assist various departments within ASICS. These are PAID internships, 24 hours per week. The candidate is allowed to work remotely up to one day per week and is expected to be in the office on all other working days.

What You'll Do

• Fundamentals of assortment planning, buying, and forecasting skus for future assortments for the Retail and Ecom channels & Learning the Open to Buy process.
• Competitive market analysis, & managing product lifecycle from floorset introduction to end-of-life management in clearance
• Assist in compiling data and images as needed to develop seasonal strategies, and hindsight business reviews.
• Microsoft Office and Excel formulas and functionality
• Communicating and presenting to cross functional teams
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Embodies and demonstrates company ethics and values
• Abides by all federal, state and local laws

How You'll Be Successful

• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft 365 Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail.
• Experience collaborating with others and demonstrating effective interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for results.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and engage in continuous learning.

What You'll Need

• Must currently be pursuing undergraduate degree in Business or related field at an accredited institution with a graduation date of December 2026 or later. required

SALARY / PAY RANGE:

$18.00 per hour
