POSITION SUMMARY:

Fortuna Bakery is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join our team in Orlando, FL. This role involves preparing high-quality desserts and pastries, measuring and mixing ingredients, operating baking equipment, and ensuring a clean, organized workspace while following health and safety regulations.

Working closely with our experienced kitchen staff, you’ll learn and apply various baking techniques, assist with plating and decoration, and contribute to innovative menu offerings. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the preparation of desserts and pastries following company recipes and quality standards.
• Measure and mix ingredients, prepare batters, and operate baking equipment efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Support the plating and decoration of desserts to ensure visually appealing presentations.
• Learn and apply various baking techniques and styles as instructed by senior staff.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to create desserts that complement the overall menu offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Culinary degree, coursework, or relevant training in pastry arts.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or bakery setting, with a focus on pastry preparation.
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions precisely.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and improve.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively.
• Creativity and a genuine passion for desserts and baked goods.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Salary Range: $15 - $17

Schedule

• Between 10 am to 7 pm
