Our facility is growing and has employees that will produce high-quality, engineered and made-to-order switchboards. The Systems design Engineer is responsible for preparing recommendations for the design and development of new products or changes in existing products. **You will make an impact by:** + Assists in the planning of detailed product development objectives. + Participates in the preparation of sketches, design layouts, and other specifications. + Participating in the review of results to determine that such products perform in the intended manner + Prepares prototypes for testing and provides technical assistance on design feasibility. + Assists in standardizing materials, components and assemblies to minimize the items procured and manufactured. + Learns complex product engineering while assisting in the development of new and improved products. **You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. + 1 year experience working as a Product Development or Design Engineer or recent college graduate. + Experience with Pro-E/Creo + Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Power Panel/Switchboard/Switchgear (or similar products application or design experience) + Electrical schematics understanding **About Siemens:** We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
